Ordering Your Stationery

How to place an order

If the design that you like is online, then that it is often the easiest way to order it.  Just select your design options and add to your basket.  If you would like any basic changes to the design, just pop them in the order comments box.  If there are any issues, or if we are missing any information we will simply get in touch with you.

If you can’t find exactly what you are looking for, or you would prefer to order via a human than a machine, then by all means do get in touch and we can arrange everything over the phone or via email for you.

If you are close enough that you would like to order in person, or you would like a remote consultation, then you are welcome to do that as well. Please email us at to arrange your consultation. Further information on our consultations can be found here.

Whatever makes the process easier is for you is great for us.

How early do I need to order?

As a general rule I would suggest ordering as soon as you know what you would like.  That way we will definitely be able to fit you in!  How busy we are will depend on a number of things, such as how many other invitations or on-the-day items we have to make at any one time.  The on-the-day items have a much smaller time window in which they can be made, so the making of invitations is always fitted in around the on-the-day items. As a general rule I would suggest allowing 12 weeks for invites to be made, and 6-8 weeks for on-the-day items. You won’t normally need to give final names that far in advance, as we always leave the name printing until as near the end as possible in case you have any changes to your guests. Designs and approximate numbers are required in advance to allow time to order in any materials, with allowance for shipping delays and ensuring that we can schedule the time to make everything for you!

Please allow 2 weeks for samples.

HELP! I can't wait that long...

If we are not too busy, it may be possible to make items for you in much less time than this, I have been known to turn invitations around in as little as 7 days (with the right materials already on site and a gap in upcoming weddings), but quick orders can often mean working late into the night or at weekends, resulting in having to schedule and pay for additional childcare, especially because any on-the-day items still need to be made for upcoming events.

As a result, invitation orders required with less than 6-8 weeks notice may require a slight surcharge to the costs shown on this site.  This could be anything from 5-50%. We wouldn’t apply a surcharge unless we need to work outside of normal working hours and additional childcare would be required.  The average additional charge for a faster than 6-week turnaround is only around 10%.

If you need any stationery faster than the timescales shown in the section above, please get in touch with us as quickly as possible.  We will let you know whether it will be possible for us to make the stationery for you, and if so, whether there would be a surcharge.

How much deposit do I need?

For samples, the full amount is due at the time of ordering.  For all non-sample orders, a minimum 50% deposit is required, with the balance due upon completion.  As bespoke stationery is made specifically for you, the deposit is non-refundable.

What payment methods can I use?

We are happy to accept most payment methods.  Our preferred payment method is bank transfer, however we are also happy to accept cash (if local), credit or debit card.  If you have a little time before your event, you may be interested in one of our payment plans.
